Meet Dr. Ritchie

Tami

John A. Ritchie D.D.S.

A native of Warren, Ohio, Dr. Ritchie grew up playing many years of organized baseball, and by eleventh grade knew he wanted to be a dentist. He pursued his dream diligently and received his Bachelors of Arts and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees concurrently in 1980, from The Ohio State University. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society which accepts the top ten percent of the graduating class. After gaining vast experience in various associate Dentist positions, he opened his own practice on the West side of Columbus in the Fall of 1984. Just prior to Thanksgiving in 2009, he moved his practice to it's current location in Hilliard, Ohio.

As a general practitioner, Dr. Ritchie is trained in all areas of dentistry and provides dental services to both children and adults. Staying current in modern dental concepts has always been important to him over his 30 years of practice. He attends several continuing education seminars a year with The Academy of Contemporary Dentistry and at the Ohio Dental Association annual meeting. He is a long standing member of The American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Columbus Dental Society.

Dr. Ritchie strives to make each patient feel comfortable. After a thorough examination with x-rays, he takes the time to explain the findings, listen to their concerns and answer questions. Often, there is more than one option for treatment and he presents the pros and cons of each. His goal is to arrive at a mutually agreed upon treatment plan that his patient is happy with. His greatest reward is his patient's satisfaction once treatment is completed.

Dr. Ritchie and his wife, Lee have two grown sons, Kory and Christopher. In his free time he enjoys regular workouts at Urban Active, golf, travel, home & garden projects, and cooking with Lee. The couple regularly attend Grace Church in Powell.
